It is hard to believe we are in the second semester of the 2017-2018 school year. As the school term has progressed, we have been excited to see all the great things happening as we visit classrooms. The improvements we see each year in our CCRPI score speaks to the quality of instruction available in all classrooms at SHS. We earned 95% of the points available for student achieving typical or high academic growth in FY17. Our overall score exceeded the state average and is the highest in our school district!
To our students, we hope you continue to have a great school year. We encourage you to do your best every day and make the most of the many opportunities available to you at Swainsboro High School. Thank you for your hard work in and out of the classroom. Get and stay involved!
To our parents, thank you for your engagement in your child’s education and with our school. It takes everyone working together to keep Swainsboro High School energized and successful. We encourage you to stay involved. Your support makes the difference between a good and great school!
To our dedicated staff, your commitment to our students is amazing. Thanking you for helping to educate our future. Teachers, we thank you for giving of yourselves over the summer and beyond the school day for professional collaboration. These significant efforts ensure we are prepared for our students all through the year.
The extra-curricular and co-curricular experiences of our athletes, club members and program participants enhance our students’ capabilities and their college and career preparedness. We thank our club and program sponsors and coaches for making these experiences possible and we congratulate our students for attaining success on region, state and national levels. We wish all of you continued accomplishments this year.
This year assistant principal Coach Rusty Kea and I were fortunate to have assistant principal Mr. Brandon Andrews join our administrative team. If we can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
